Edgar’s Online I-Metrix

Posted by lrath on September 6, 2007

Edgar’s Online I-Metrix is a Newman Library database providing full text access to SEC filings, ownership data, earnings estimates and company people. Locate specific filings by type, IPO, or topic. Analytics provide financial statement data in eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) which tags each line item of data for export to Excel. Use XBRL for interactive model building and comparative analysis across companies, industries or trading exchange. Requires download of I-Metrix Excel Add-In and Excel Templates. Need another reason to use it? The search capabilities are more robust and easier to use than the SEC website (www.sec.gov) when searching SEC filings.
