Manhattan: Transportation Conference

On the Move: A Transportation Agenda for a Growing City is a “conference for transportation experts, policymakers, government, business, and civic leaders and community residents to examine the implications of growth on our transporation infrastructure and to identify innovative policy solutions that will allow our City to manage that growth sensibly.” Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer will host this conference. Enrique Penalosa, the former Mayor of Bogota, Columbia will be the keynote speaker. Breakout sessions led by local experts to discuss improving specific transportation modes will follow. The Straphangers Campaign is co-sponsoring the event. Thursday, October 12th, 9 am – 2:30 pm, Columbia University, Alfred Lerner Hall (W. 115th St. & Broadway).
