Lecture: Race in America: Advancing Equality in the 21st Century

Race in America: Advancing Equality in the 21st Century is sponsored by The Lillie & Nathan Ackerman Lecture Series on Equality & Justice in America. Three panelists will explore recent progress made in redressing discrimination in housing and urban planning:

Panelists: Alexander Polikoff, Esq., Director, Public Housing Transformation Initiative, Chicago; J. Phillip Thompson, PH.D., Associate Professor, Urban Politics, M.I.T.; and Anurima Bhargava, Assistant Counsel,NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund, Inc. The moderator will be Sonia R. Jarvis, J.D., Ackerman Chair and Associate Professor, School of Public Affairs, Baruch College.

The Ackerman Lecture takes place in Baruch College’s Newman Vertical Campus, 55 Lexington Avenue @ 24th Street, 14th floor. Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
