Checking Availability of Study Rooms at Newman Library

Posted by lrath on October 26, 2006

Did you know you can search CUNY+ (the library’s catalog) to check which study rooms are available?

  1. Go to the library’s homepage and scroll to the bottom of the page until you see the Library Catalog tab. (You can also click on Books under the “Search & Find” tab to connect to the library’s catalog.)
  2. The default search setting is a Keyword anywhere search;  Type “study rooms baruch” (without the quotes) in the search box.
  3. The catalog record for the study rooms will appear. Click on Baruch-Reserve under the “Holdings” column to get a list of all the study rooms at the library.
  4. Scroll through the list of Group Study rooms (some rooms are only for 2 people); Check to see if a key has been borrowed for a room (the “Due hour” column lists the time a key is due back for an occupied room).
  • You can check the library’s catalog from any workstation on campus (even the kiosks in the VC)
  • You can also check the availability of rooms via AirBaruch
  • Please note that the “study rooms baruch” search also lists the eleven graduate carrels  in room 444 that are available for individual study (scroll through the list to check the availability for all eleven carrels).
