“Guide to Financial Statements” Tutorial Receives Award

Posted by lrath on March 12, 2007

Guide to Financial Statements, a web tutorial developed at Baruch, was selected to receive the 2007 Classic Award from the Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT).

The tutorial was a collaborative project between the Newman Library, the Baruch Computing and Technology Center, and the Zicklin School of Business’ Stan Ross Department of Accountancy, with technical assistance from Kognito Solutions LLC.

Louise Klusek, Newman Library’s Head of Reference, was a key member of the development team. The tutorial is part of the college’s effort to provide students with discipline-specific information literacy skills.

The award will be presented at MERLOT’s international conference in August. MERLOT is a cooperative of higher education institutions and it maintains an open repository of online learning resources hosted by the California State University System.
